We’re proud to present a sale featuring personal
property belonging to the late photographer Bob McCormack and his late wife,
Betty. Mr. McCormack is known for award-winning photography chronicling not
only state and national history, but also the lives of thousands of Tulsa area families.
In 1969, Mr. and Mrs. McCormack purchased the historic
Tulsa mansion built by oilman Robert McFarlin in 1918. The
beautiful mansion at 1610 South
Carson, now on the National
Register of Historic Places, was the family’s home, but also the site of
hundreds of portraits of celebrities and citizens, brides and businesspeople,
families and friends. The McCormacks’ children, Nancy
and John, lived and worked in the mansion for a time as well, John joining his
father in their photography business. John will continue his photography
business in a location nearby.
Because of the high interest and attendance
anticipated, Silvey Estate Sales will restrict the number of shoppers allowed
in the home at a given time. Armed security will be on the premises.
